Critics' Choice Awards are in!

And while it hasn't exactly been a frustrating year in terms of predicting the imminent Oscars, at least the 2010 canon has been up to snuff. Lots of great films, even though we had our fair share of crap. Here is a list of the major winners, with the tech winners linked below.

Those trophied after the cut --

Best Picture - The Social Network
Best Actor - Colin Firth - The King's Speech
Best Actress - Natalie Portman - Black Swan
Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale - The Fighter
Best Supporting Actress - Melissa Leo - The Fighter
Best Director - David Fincher - The Social Network
Best Ensemble - The Fighter
Best Original Screenplay - The King's Speech
Best Adapted Screenplay - The Social Network
Best Animated Feature - Toy Story 3

The awards season has been extremely kind to The Social Network, but it's all due as far as I'm concerned. If it weren't for Shutter Island stealing everything in my lineups, The Social Network would be. Truly, indescribably, great film. The love is completely deserved. As for the constant love for Christian Bale in The Fighter, and Natalie Portman in Black Swan.

Melissa Leo, ... eh. She's done much better work. But, if this is what gets her her Oscar, so be it. She certainly deserves one. I just wish it were going to a better performance.

I'd also like to point out how proud I am of Hailee Steinfeld for being such a trooper this season. After being shoved into the wrong category, and not winning a whole lot, she's maintained her speed and will almost certainly get her Oscar nomination. Maybe, if there's any justice, win it. But, we should know by now that whatever category she gets pushed into, she's losing to either Melissa Leo or Natalie Portman. Portman, whom of course, deserves the hell out of her impending win.

Regardless of all the Oscar talk, I'm supposed to be talking about the Critics' Choice. I get sidetracked. Forgive me.

Take a moment and tell me about your favorite wins of the night, your favorite moment, etc. Colin Firth, and his speech getting cut short? Christian Bale maybe being insane after all (thanks, Sivi, for that...), or Justin Beiber's mustache harassing innocent Hollywood-ites on the red carpet? You choose, and tell me in the comments below.
